Jessiline Anderson

Dr. Anderson is a member of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. She has been actively involved in the provision of mental health services and working with the Native American population for over twenty-six years. Dr. Anderson completed her B.A. and M.S. degrees in psychology and counseling respectively, at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. In 2007 Dr. Anderson was tenured and promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Dr. Anderson continues to work closely with the Native American community. She is the recipient of a student Minority Fellowship of the American Psychological Association, a Fellow of the Office of Indian Education, and a Martin Luther King, Jr. Fellow. She is a recipient of the 2000 Siouxland Women of Excellence Award and the 2002-2003 recipient of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Outstanding Organizations Advisor award. Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with her family, participating in church activities, attending cultural events, traditional ceremonies/pow-wow dancing, arts and crafts, and riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle!
