HONORABLE MENTION: FOND du LAC TRIBAL and COMMUNITY COLLEGE THUNDER

Honor Indians Institute honors the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder, located in Cloquet, Minnesota, for their first successful collegiate football season, but more importantly, adopting the “THUNDER” mascot. It was great to see a tribal school stay away from the tired “Indians, Warriors and Chiefs” mascots. Haskell Indian Nations University, and other tribal schools, should take notice of the example set by Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College THUNDER!!!
