HONOR INDIANS INSTITUTE: BACK FOR 2008!

Posted on January 7, 2008 - Filed Under Education |

Honor Indians Institute is happy to be back for 2008!  After an extended Christmas break, we look forward to continue the work that we started in September 2007.  In this short time period, we got our web site up and running, created “Alternative Indian Mascots,” “Alternative Indian Marketing,” “No Honor With Meth” and “Mascots that Honor.”  We have highlighted the lives of Indian people that are working hard and bringing honor to themselves, families and tribes.  We have also spoken to hundreds of “students” about who we are, and what we are doing today.  Hopefully, we are changing the negative stereotypes perceptions of Indian people.  Our goals for 2008, are to continue this work, and hopefully reach even more people through our web site and presentations.

if indians were the majority and whites were in the indians posish now, im not so sure i would like it if the indians schools mascots were “the selfish crackas” or “the pushover whiteys” either. Good work
