Ruben Zendejas
Ruben Zendejas, age 13, is the youngest of 8 children of Edouardo and Monica Zendejas. He is a member of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. Ruben is an honor student, athlete (basketball, running and swimming) and a grass and hoop dancer. He has hoop danced for numerous schools and organizations in the Omaha, NE area. Ruben was given a general concept for Alternative Indian Mascots, and he took off and created the outstanding works of art that are now available for purchase. Part of the proceeds from the sale of these posters will be used for his college scholarship fund and service opportunities that he will fund after graduating from high school.
